Having spent the better part of the past two weeks working in 'Las Vegas', I have returned to Maryland with a sunburn and a desire to ride the Dyna.
While not spending much time on the Strip, I did watch enough cruisers heading that way that it was a constant reminder of what was waiting for me at home.
This past weekend was perfect riding weather - too bad the lawn needed mowing and the deck needed cleaning; deck furniture still huddled in the shed; empty flower pots clustered in a corner. And the wife telling me what we need to do.
But I did ride... oh yes. And the miles melted by and the rhythm of the Harley eased all the pain of overworked joints and old age.
I'm ready for a longer trip now. Ready to stretch out the legs onto those front pegs.
Ready to see what 6th gear has in store.
Viva La' Harley.
Riding again.
