Been doing a bit of riding since I have some time this summer. One of the local riding clubs always seems to have an organized ride or two during the week and now some of the riders at work are trying to get together - which is what we did yesterday.
No real set plans, just 'head that way until we head another way...' type thing. We ended up in downtown Gettysburg, PA, where they are celebrating their annual Bike Week July 1-12.
Several of the riders were new to Gettysburg, Bike Weeks, and riding in a group in general. I think they got a kick out of sitting in the outside garden at the Farnsworth House, enjoying lunch, and watching all the bikes thunder by (okay - maybe not the sports bikes - but they were there).
Today - an impromptu trip to Harper's Ferry WV... but I think the wife has other plans - something involving a mall and shopping.
I need to convince her to ride.
